Logistics Specialist (Internal Position) - Laos

About the role

This is an internal position only, based in Vientiane, Laos, within the Logistics Specialist team. The team's mission is to reduce direct support as regions become more autonomous, while keeping headquarters focal points that give programmes a clear, adaptable framework. The role covers facilities standards, logistics steering and data dashboards, and supporting a portfolio of programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Facilities standards: develop and update standards for fleet, travel, buildings, equipment, safety and archiving, act as focal point for compliance and technical questions, and run user acceptance testing and rollout of Facilities digital tools
• Knowledge management: publish and communicate standards, and deliver training on standards, tools and key practices
• Steering and data: contribute to the Global Logistics Strategy, define logistics indicators and benchmarks, and build dynamic dashboards with analysis and recommendations
• Programme support: deploy logistics standards including LINK, coach logistics managers, run training and lead a community of practice
• Risk and compliance: analyse logistics risks such as fraud, corruption, theft and misappropriation, carry out logistics quality audits, screen suppliers and monitor action plans
• Emergency preparedness: train teams on emergency preparedness and adapt working methods during emergencies

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of facilities management standards (fleet, travel, building, equipment, safety, archiving)
• Experience in functional project management and business ownership of digital tools, including UAT, rollout and change management
• Proven ability to coach logistics managers, facilitate communities of practice and train multicultural audiences
• Strong risk, compliance and audit skills
• Ability to work across headquarters, regional and programme levels and to influence decision-makers
• Strong field experience in logistics management at management level, preferably at regional level

What we offer

• 24-month international contract starting 1 February 2027, with social cover (unemployment insurance for EU nationals, pension, medical coverage with 50% employee contribution, repatriation insurance)
• Salary from 2,869 EUR gross per month depending on experience, plus 549 EUR net per month per diem paid in the field
• 25 paid days off and 11 days of R&R per year
