General Manager – Pre‑Opening Holiday Inn Resort Luang Prabang

About the role

Lead the pre‑opening of IHG’s first Holiday Inn Resort in Luang Prabang, slated to open in Q3 2027. You will shape the resort’s commercial strategy, operational systems and guest experience to attract regional and international leisure travelers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the pre‑opening journey, including operational planning, systems implementation, recruitment and launch readiness.
• Develop revenue opportunities across accommodation, food & beverage, meetings, incentives and destination experiences.
• Establish operating structures, financial controls and brand‑standard compliance.
• Build and develop a capable local team, fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Collaborate with ownership, IHG and key stakeholders to deliver sustainable business performance.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in an internationally branded, full‑service hotel or resort.
• Proven pre‑opening or conversion experience with a track record of successful launches.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of leisure and resort markets.
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to manage diverse operations and develop local talent.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in Southeast Asia or Indochina; Mandarin and China market experience preferred.
